Itinerary : Around hotel area & Ximending
The journey from BKI to TPE took about 3hours and 20 minutes. It is LONG! *sigh* But for the sake of shopping, food & holiday, 3 hours meh 3 hours lah!!!
Barely sleep the night before. Fell sleep at 1am. Woke up at 4am because the flight was 6am. Terrible!! I thought the flight might not be full. Amazing! Uncles & Aunties even arrived earlier than me with herbal eggs and chocolates for breakfast at the airport. *shallow
Took a bus to Taipei Main station that cost NTD125 per person. Another 1 hour ride. Take a taxi, 3 minutes to the hotel. Left our luggage at the reception (because check in time is 12pm) and went for lunch.
Reading Let's be Friend handbook for Youth travelers. Get this at the airport for discount.

Amazing Soya Bean!

Then, checked in and zoom, slept for 2 hours. Feeling super tired and got running nose.
Woke up and walked to Ximending. Youth best known place for foods & clothes. One of the many attractions.
Along the way, spotted 2 stalls.
1) Juice Stall

I am so dumb ok. Can't read what is the stall selling. Really having alot of FML almost everywhere.

Bun with toppings inside. Can choose, chocolate, tuna, Strawberry and etc.
Nah, this is Ximending. Vibrant and lively. All the young people hang out here.
Too busy walking, didn't get to snap many pictures. And then tired again.
Resting my feet
I went searching for Ah Chung Mien Sien stall. It was review as one of the must try food. No tables & chairs, I see this for the first time. Must stand and eat!
Reluctantly, many still eat also. If in Malaysia, I think the stall wait to be closed. No tables & chairs, who wants to eat oh!
The mien sien, also didn't find it that delicious as per review. Maybe not suitable for Malaysians tongue. Again, WTH!

I wanted to do this review for Lilai Hotel, Taiwan. They earned my review after my stay here for 5nights. And I think I should write because before I went, I was searching for this hotel to read more but I couldn't find any.
The rooms
Some people might back out for not seeing much review online and when you called they couldn't really understand our Malaysian mandarin. At the first place, I almost gave up with this hotel.
I emailed them directly through their website, and they weren't any response. So I called up and told me that they would verify my booking and send me the details together with the payment details. In fact, they failed to send the payment details but verify my booking. Don't you think its funny? When I called up, they assured me that a room will be reserved for me.
So I went without paying *brave
Upon arriving, yes a room reserved for me. Checked.
Nice one. Checked.
Before it got messy!
I know I know, it looked like "one night stand" kind of room! I really thought it was on my first night.
Bed sheets were clean. Checked.
Bathroom clean. Checked.
The bathroom ceiling is very low. Not advisable for 5 feet 10 and above.
One good thing that they practice in this hotel is, I don't need to pay 1 stretch at a time for the 5 nights. I paid daily because I wasn't sure I could stand for the first night. I went to check out other hotels down the block, there were nice one, much pricey and there were worst one, exact the same price. So I think this hotel is acceptable.

You were still thinking about "one night stand" hotel. 5 days, I didn't see any! Despite, many Hongkees and Taiwanese from other towns came to spend their weekends here.

Breakfast. Checked. Everyday is Ham, Egg, Bread and Soya bean. Amazing soya bean okay? Must say amazing, to emphasize the deliciousness. Haha! Must drink.
Going down for supper at 12am *shy Its bad for health! But hey on holiday ;) Who cares!

5 minutes walk to Taipei Main Station. (Turn right from the hotel)
5 minutes walk to Ximending. (Turn left from the hotel)

My birthday was very simple, a family dinner in Little Italy. Nothing to shout about! No presents :( like I did during our younger days. I was anticipating for presents more than the party. I am sure everyone was like that too! ;)

Another thing I want to share about is I've got a delivery yesterday.
(The postman came to my house but I wasn't at home. So they dropped a note in my mailbox to pick it up in the Post Office)
This morning, I woke up and saw a message from Pumpkin aka Trisha asking whether I received a parcel from Poslaju yet. Now I knew who was that. I was wondering since yesterday.
I went to the post office today because too anxious & curious at the same time. (I asked for a second delivery but told the fastest they could arrange is tomorrow. *sigh* I am not around already lorr..) A parcel deliver with Poslaju; must be something important.
Can't wait! And teared it once I got into my car!
